Hi Tracey, The best spray to use is Liquid Copper and correct timing is important for proper control. Usually, you spray when the buds are swelling but before and within one week of the buds opening. Where leaf curl is likely to be a problem based on previous experience, spray at first in autumn at leaf fall and then at the first sign of bud swell and repeat one week later. Keep your plants fertilised and the soil moist. Any leaves that fall to the ground should be picked up quickly to avoid spores getting into the soil. You can also remove any infected leaves as long as you are not removing more than ¹⁄³ from the tree.
