Propagating snowdrop cactus:

Since some store bought specimens are sometimes a bit spindly, I regularly take cuttings to add to the bushiness of my hanging plants. Using a clean, sharp knife or pair of scissors, cut off a long tendril.

Cut this piece into a few more even pieces, about 10-15cm in length.

Keep track of which end was facing towards the roots of the plant, and dip this edge into some rooting hormone. Place these pieces into a small vessel of water (root end into the water). Keep in a warm place, out of direct sunlight, and replace the water every few days. Be patient. After a few weeks, you should have some roots. You can now plant these pieces into the soil. Keep them lightly moist until they start growing.
