My driftwood treasure

I enjoyed Wendy Laurenson’s article on using driftwood in the garden (August). I spied this big piece in the tide on a beach near Hokitika. At first I thought it was a seal, but luckily for me it was this beauty, now proudly displayed on a plinth.
