New to the Ferry Building downtown is THE SHUCKER BROTHERS, a slick Cheshire Architects-designed oyster bar and eatery, and ISLAND GELATO, an outpost of the Waiheke Island ice cream shop. HYDE KITCHEN & CELLAR is a new Italian-leaning daytime restaurant in Ponsonby, with a focus on game meat. The Barnacle has been reborn as ŌRĀKEI BAY BISTRO, with a relaxed, family-friendly vibe.
